Aerodynamics–physiology relation
This research aims to identify the optimal cycling posture by balancing aerodynamic efficiency against physiological cost. We analyze the sensitivity of drag to various posture parameters while monitoring aerodynamic and physiological performance. Our approach integrates video-based posture analysis, wind tunnel drag measurements, and surface electromyography (sEMG) to quantify muscle activation. The outcome is a data-driven posture optimization that minimizes drag while mitigating muscle effort and fatigue.
